Webinar 'Seeds of the Mediterranean'

A partilha de conhecimento e a cooperação mediterrânica dão o mote ao webinar 'Seeds of the Mediterranean', que terá lugar no dia 16 de março, às 10h (hora de Portugal). A iniciativa realiza-se em formato online e terá a duração de 1 hora e 30 minutos.

Seeds of the Mediterranean é uma série de webinars promovida no âmbito do Cluster Mediterrâneo, um grupo de trabalho no qual as Redes Nacionais PAC dos países mediterrânicos se reúnem mensalmente (Itália, França, Roménia, Espanha, Grécia, Portugal, Chipre e Croácia), moderado pela EU CAP Network. Esta série prevê a organização de um webinar a cada quatro meses, sendo cada edição coordenada por um país participante. Esta edição é organizada por Portugal, com o apoio de Espanha e Grécia.

O tema desta primeira edição será:

GESTÃO DA ÁGUA NAS CULTURAS MEDITERRÂNICAS
com especial foco em boas práticas, soluções inovadoras e experiências transferíveis entre territórios que enfrentam desafios semelhantes relacionados com a escassez de água, a adaptação às alterações climáticas e a sustentabilidade agrícola.

Os principais objetivos do webinar são:

● Dar visibilidade a projetos relevantes e boas práticas relacionadas com a gestão da água em contextos mediterrânicos;

● Promover a troca de conhecimentos entre países;

● Partilhar soluções que possam ser transferidas e aplicadas noutros territórios;

● Sensibilizar para a importância estratégica da gestão da água nos sistemas agrícolas mediterrânicos.

Knowledge exchange and Mediterranean collaboration come together in the upcoming webinar 'Seeds of the Mediterranean', scheduled for 16 March at 11:00 CET (Brussels time). The online session will last 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Seeds of the Mediterranean is a webinar series promoted within the framework of the Mediterranean Cluster, a working group in which the National CAP Networks of Mediterranean countries meet monthly (Italy, France, Romania, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus and Croatia), moderated by the EU CAP Network. The series foresees the organisation of one webinar every four months, with a different participating country taking responsibility for coordinating each edition. On this occasion, the webinar is being organised by Portugal, with the support of Spain and Greece.

The theme of this first edition will be:

WATER MANAGEMENT IN MEDITERRANEAN CROPS
with a particular focus on good practices, innovative solutions and transferable experiences between territories facing similar challenges related to water scarcity, climate change adaptation and agricultural sustainability.

The main objectives of the webinar are to:

● Give visibility to relevant projects and good practices related to water management in Mediterranean contexts.

● Promote knowledge exchange between countries.

● Share solutions that can be transferred and applied in other territories.

● Raise awareness of the strategic importance of water management in Mediterranean agricultural systems.
